The
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple under construction in Lilburn, Georgia is scheduled
for opening August 2007. The ornate temple is made of marble and sandstone and was shipped
from India in pieces and then put together like a giant puzzle. The imposing structure will
certainly stop traffic in a small city like Lilburn.
One of the largest mandirs of its kind outside India.
The temple is one of the largest Hindu Temples
built in the USA at 27,243 Square feet and covering 30 acres.
built in accordance with ancient Hindu architectural scriptures.
